Phantasmagoria

Recently I started buying books in order to build up a strange little library. Most of these tend to be research books that focus on particular topics. I would like to take a chance to talk about some of these books.

One of the first books I bought was Breverton’s Phantasmagoria. A compendium of monster’s myths and legends. The books features hundreds of entries talking about everything from people, to places to aliens. All the entries are fairly short summaries of the subject in question. Giving you enough information to get a grasp on a subject to decide if you want to go and discover more. I like this format as you can spend a couple minutes reading about one thing or hours reading about dozens.

A couple of my highlights was learning about crop circles or the safest name on the seas.

So if you want to expand your knowledge and learn of many things without having to dedicate the time to it this book is ideal.
